Any grocery store has the fruits and vegetables, beans, nuts, etc. You can get tofu and seitan at health food stores and more and more, in the refrigerated area of produce sections of most grocery stores. You can get vegan fake "meat" products in the freezer sections of most grocery stores. You can get a lot of supplements and extra stuff - vegan multivitamins, vegan nutritional yeast, vegan chocolate chips, etc - at health food stores like Whole Foods or online at stores like Pangea.

If your friend was a serious vegan, she'd either already know or she'd have starved to death by now. You get vegan food at the grocery store, where you get "normal" food. Come to think of it, vegan food IS "normal" food. Fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds and legumes are readily available. And most grocery stores even have some vegan prepared foods these days. What the heck is she eating now, anyway?

Most health food stores. Also, if you download some vegan recipes, you can buy the food to make vegan dishes in a regular grocery store also. Especially since most have an organic choice for almost everything now.

Most food is vegan to begin with - before you start adding the meat! I mean, most home prepared food can easily be vegan. If yo mean eating out, then that varies area to area. But, if your Friend is a 'serious vegan' then she would know this, and more...

Whole Foods is my favorite grocery store to get Vegan/Veg products.

If you're referring to vegan alternatives to common animal-derived products, you can find soy milk and veggie burgers in most any grocery, and often soy ice cream as well. Most shoes stores carry non-leather varieties, and it's easy to read the labels on clothing.

from the grocery store.
vegan or not, it's always healthy to eat wholesome foods
like beans, lentils, nuts, whole grains, fruits, vegetables. it's also very cheap.
i know some people don't have the time to cook from scratch, but try to do it as often as possible.
there are tons and tons of free recipes on the internet and even here in yahoo answers if you do a search.
