Yes but it is possible for the baby to catch it when it is delivered. Some STDs like herpes can kill a baby.

Yes you most definitely and certainly can and it could easily be passed on or cause other harm to the baby. Not to mention yourself and your partner(s) and their partner(s) and so on.
