If you feel covicted that it is sin then it is. It also says in the Bible not to be caught drunk on the day Christ returns and since we don't know when that is, I would not want to be drunk. It is up to you to find what He wants from you. Try to pray and ask Him.

Your question falls into the area where it sounds like a personal matter between you and God. The Bible is clear that a "drunkard" will not inherit the Kingdom of God but it doesn't say that a person cannot upon occasion be under the influence of alcohol while doing their best to act responsibly.

The Bible warns against drunkeness that leads to debauchery or dissipation and counsels us to instead be filled with the Holy Spirit, but again it doesn't prohibit having a few drinks and exercising self-control. Here are some passages for your consideration.

Ephesians 5:15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with all your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Titus 2:3 Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

Do you feel it is a sin? When we are drunk or buzzed we lose control of our good judgment and then do things that are wrong or stupid. If you are a Christian woman, would you visit your place of worship in your condition, would you like for your children or your parents to see you like that. Can you truly worship God in your condition. A no answer to any of the above questions will give you a good idea on what constitutes sin.

What time zone are you in?

Edit: Since this is very important to know if what you "did" was a sin, I shall answer. Yes and no. The bible is clear that you "shouldn't" get drunk, but doesn't implicitly state that if you do, you sinned. All of God's "demands/rules/laws/etc" are for our own good. He warns against getting drunk because it's not good for you health, not good for your reputation, etc. You are more susceptible to do stupid things, which are not good for you. But to call it a "sin," not really.

Also, almost everything we do is sinning, if you really think about it. How many seconds can you go without sinning? Not many!! Jesus was clear that God judges our Thoughts. Envy, pride, lust, greed, anxiety, lack of faith, etc., are all sins. Even the most minor white lie is a sin. God points this out to PROVE to us that we NEED the atoning blood of Jesus on a continuous basis. We can NOT live a life "good enough" to merit salvation. Hence, Jesus dying on a cross, the Lamb of God, one sacrifice for the forgiveness of all sins. A beautiful story.

Don't beat yourself up.

No getting drunk is not a sin. Haven't you read the bible? Jesus drinks a lot... Like in Canaan where he drank all the wine and he had to change the water into wine to get even more drunk. So don't worry and have another glass of red wine to celebrate!

Please give more details as to why you choose to be in that condition.

Mama.. I read what you added. I am so sorry your life is in turmoil. In a place in scriptures it is mentioned to give strong drink to a person in horrible turmoil so that for a moment or so they can escape the sorrows. But you must begin to let go of that alcohol haze so you can see a different way is waiting for you. A way to change you even if you cannot change what is going on around you.

God bless your life, woman.

You know the answer to this question better than we do. How many people have you hurt because of alcohol? Do you drive drunk? How does your drinking effect your family?

If you'd judge yourself, no one would need to answer your question.

They ask thee concerning wine and gambling. Say: "In them is great sin, and some profit, for men; but the sin is greater than the profit." They ask thee how much they are to spend; say: "What is beyond your needs." Thus doth Allah make clear to you His Signs: in order that ye may consider.

O ye who believe! intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination of Satan's handiwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.

Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?
