For about 8 months now I have had a weird growth on my right index finger next to the nail. There is no pain present no matter which way I push on it. It looks like white hardened jagged skin. I did not have this until after I started to work as an overnight stocker, I thought maybe it was skin building up from the side of my finger rubbing up against the boxes. I have not worked there for about 3 months now and it is still there. Any help would be much appreciated.

It might be a wart. My Granddaughter had one from the pencil pressing on that spot in school.

We tried this old wives tale and got rid of it.

Slice a thin slice of garlic, put it on the bump, put a band aid over it. Change as needed, if it is a wart it will turn black and come off. Hers came off in 5 or 6 days.

Good Luck.

Why don't you go to the doctor? He may be able to remove it; depending what it is.
