God asks us to keep His commandments as a sign of our Love for Him in the New Testament. The only commandment which starts with the word Remember is the 4th one...it is to Remember the Seventh day to Keep it Holy...that is, the Seventh-day of the Week...which we in our modern intelligence choose to call the day of Saturn...Saturday. The rest of the world calls it Sabbath. (Sabado, Shabbat, etc) Sabbath means Day of Rest...and it is a Holy Day (the first holiday), sanctified and ordained by God in Genesis 2.
Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruits..." If we show ourselves to be obedient children, do we not show that we love and respect our Lord? In that way, we will not have to be the ones who hear the Lord say, "...I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Matthew 7:23.
Will keeping the Law of God save us? Nope...only God's Grace saves us...our very best is still black with sin. Jesus covers us and washes all that away. Many were called, but few will be chosen. If you hear that call to come out of Babylon, and following the traditions of men, will you have the Faith and courage to heed that call? Pray the Holy Spirit guide you into all Truth!
Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28. Why not go to Him on the day He ordained as a Holy Rest Day? "...They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways. So I swore in My wrath, They shall not enter My rest." Hebrews 3:10-11. Keeping the Sabbath day Holy is unnatural for the Man of the World for a reason. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God (Notice this does not say for the Israelites, or the Jews, or the Seventh-day Adventists, or Seventh-day Baptists, et al). For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Hebrews 4:9-10

Salvation is offered to us by YHVH. It is like a marriage contract: Take His name, and follow His rules, and you become part of His "bride", and will be saved in the end. Most folks don't accept His offer, but it looks pretty generous to me. Sabbath observance is part of "His rules". Some leader (who had been a Sun worshiper) knew he could attract more followers if he had worship on Sunday, so he changed things. He also brought in a lot of other heathen traditions. Now we are faced with the question: Do we follow "Christianity" (which is Heathenism) or do we follow Almighty YHVH? (Acts 5:29)

Six days shalt thou labour seems a pretty sensible division of time to me but we are even more generous these days and go for a five day week. Giving up a period of time for recreation is sensible but time is also needed for recollection and thought. In other words, the spiritual is as important as the physical. That is what it was all about.

Everyone needs a day of rest. The Bible also tells us to set aside a day, not only to rest, but to reflect on God- although we should do this daily.

One esteems a day above others, another esteems every day alike.

Seeing as the sabbath was a "reflection" of Christ, and we have Christ, seems a bit silly to focus on the "reflection."

Why? The Bible tells us that God created the universe in 6 days and rested on the 7th, so we are to rest evey 7th day. (Bible teaching) I think that man functions better if he rests as God told us than if he works continually. Health and mind burn out if you don't (My opinion)

A day is a measure of time. Time is an illusion. There is only infinite consciousness which knows no time.
