No priests or pastors should be making any money from teaching and shepherding the congregations. It's not a secular job that you work 40 hours a week or from 9 to 5, it's a regular, day in and day out part of one's life. The early Christian congregation elders (or older men) had separate jobs of their own from which they were paid and supported themselves. The notion that these TV priests, or any church leader, gets paid for providing spiritual assistance to others is patently absurd and offensive.

If the multi-million money these TV preachers made were to be use in charities or in spreading the Word of God, then that is most admirable. But if those money were used for their very selfish ambitions and sense gratification, then hope that God will still have mercy on their souls!

The Bible doesn't in any way shape or form say that we should make even 1 cent from our service to God.
Matthew 10:8-10 ". . . YOU received free, give free. Do not procure gold or silver or copper for YOUR girdle purses, or a food pouch for the trip, or two undergarments, or sandals or a staff; for the worker deserves his food."
On the contrary , Jesus said ! - we must give what we got for free - FREELY.

I think it's okay that they get paid for being on tv but I don't think they should charge for bibles or spiritual literature they print. The bible says not to pedal the word of God.

there are no TV priests. They are ministers. Priests are supported by their church, like RC, ministers are free agents.

You mean they have to beg for food everyday and only wear cloth donated to them. I think everyone should make money.

For the most part, TV evangelists speak the Word of God and they speak in truth or they wouldn't be there very long.
It cost $$$ for air time and they have to make a living. Again, if they didn't, they wouldn't be there very long.
Does it make you mad that Michael Jordan makes $50M+ for his speaking for a product?
Does it make you mad that Tiger Woods makes $60M+ for his speaking for a product?
Does it make you mad that Oprah Winfrey makes $70M+ for her speaking for a product?
Does it make you mad that a TV evangelist makes $ ??+ for speaking for his product?
