If there was no truth in all religions, none of them would have stood the test of time. The fact that there are billions of believers across a wide spectrum of belief shows there is some truth in all of them. Equally, there is falsehood to be found all over the place too. It's mixed in amongst the truth.

'My' religion is Christianity - my truth is Jesus Christ who IS the Truth. What he supposedly said (as recorded in gnostic, Mormon and Islamic literature for example) has to be compared with the written accounts in the Bible, then a judgment can be made as to which is true. Clearly, they all clash at some points or other! I think Christianity is true because the biblical record rings true - it doesn't cover sin up but 'tells it like it is'. And, as Jesus promised, his Holy Spirit is sent to guide believers into all truth, even if we only see as through a mirror, darkly (as the Apostle Paul said).

What makes a religion true or false is how it stacks up with what is really taught in the Bible.

Some claim that there is good in all religions, and that all paths lead to God.
While the real truths present in each religion are in fact true , does the presence of these guarantee all of what it teaches is true--

Not at all.

Consider this - If someone had a nice glass of water for you , but some percentage of it was deadly poison , would you drink that water.?

No . - Never because you recognize it as polluted , and potentially deadly.

The fact IS , religions that do not follow the exact truth as taught in the Bible do NOT please God.- they are polluted and lead to death of those that partake in them.
That being the case , many are not finding the true religion.

..and this is what will happen to them.

Matthew 7:13-14 ". . ."Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it."

Matthew 7:21-23 ". . ."Not everyone saying to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?' And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness."

Who says other religions are false? If anyone says that other religions are false, then he does not know his own religion.
Because every religion is made by man himself so that he does deteur from his path of righteousness, and commit any mistake... Every religion leads to one and the only one Almighty, who is known by different names in different regions and religions , different people have their own ways of worshipping or pleasing that almighty.....
But finally it the same God whom all worship in different ways through different religion.
frankly speaking, i would never give much importance to religion as it is made by man,
I wonder why do people fight on the name of religion. No religion has been formed by God himself... then why do men on earth fight on something that is created by him...and creating differences.. for me all religions teach the same- humbleness, generosity, kindness, compassion towards all human and living creatures in this world...

as a muslim, i dont deny the religions of the people of the book, judaism, and christianity....... idol worship, paganism, new age fads, etc are not worth having any concern for, after research into many religions, Islam was the only one for me, with any credibility, or true spiritual meaning, it felt right, and gave credence to many of my own thoughts on spirituality.

I read the book. I have spent a number of hours in other books. I read the book of Mormon cover to cover, and pieces from the Koran. They clearly did not measure up, nor were they written by 40 or so people over about 2000 years. (So they had a clear advantage toward being unified, and concise.........yet they didn't make it)

Mine is not all that hard to grasp in understanding....

Jesus taught it this way.. to visit with widows and orphans during the time of their affliction .. and to keep oneself unstained by the world. It was described as true and perfect before God.

I think that all religions have some of the truth. One can learn from all of them, and I do mean ALL. I am Jewish but I study all religions, have learned and grown from all of that I have studied.
