Jesus was an apprentice carpenter, since he died at 33 he probably was a full carpenter at a relatively young age 15-17(it was necessary since most people married at 15).
Then why aren't there any pieces of furniture attributed to him?
As a god, i would assume his pieces were exceptional, even if he was modest and they weren't out of common, people would assume his followers would collect each and every one of the peaces made by jesus as relics(as was done with the cross).
So, where are they? if they indeed exist.

"would have rotted a couple thousand years ago"
Pieces of the alleged cross of jesus have been passed around for ages(by the catholic church and several monarchs), and with the proper care wood can last quite a long time.

One would assume an object made by the very hands of god would be quite priced and well kept(not left to rot).

When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed.

"Where did this man get these things?" they asked. "What's this wisdom that has been given him, that he even does miracles! 3Isn't this the carpenter? Isn't this Mary's son and the brother of James, Joseph,[a] Judas and Simon? Aren't his sisters here with us?" And they took offense at him.

Any furniture made by him would have rotted a couple thousand years ago. Christ had no need to leave relics lying around to prove his existence.

Jesus was not a Carpenter. He was the son of a Carpenter.

Jesus was a fisherman. Not just a "Fisher of Men". Ever notice most of the miracles have to do with water or fish. Further, look at all the time Jesus spends with disciples on Peter's father's boat?

The carpentry thing is a popular myth. Surely he and the disciples were fishermen.

Can you imagine the problems associated with such a piece of archaeology? As you already have mentioned, the catholic church has supposed 'chips' from His cross and you can see the results. People would worship such things. Bad idea and forbidden by God. God, in His wisdom has not allowed such relics to survive. In light of this, do you think we really have the actual burial shroud of Jesus? (The shroud of Turin)

If people married at about 15yrs old why doesn't it say that in the Bible? It always depicts men marrying when they are older. Also a carpenter is not always someone that makes furniture but is usually some one that builds houses

Jesus was actually the "son" of a carpenter and as was the custom of that time, the son would be trained in the father's occupation.
Nothing in Scripture supports this, however.
Where did you read that Jesus was a carpenter?
We do not about any "profession" that Jesus actually undertook other that to speak and teach the Word of God.

He didn't make furniture. He just fixed people's houses. You know. A bit of skirting here, a few shelves there.

Well evidently he did exist since he's all over the bible and we celebrate his birth and death. As for what he made that's good question. maybe the people who persecuted him burned all his stuff so no could remember him!

Jesus came to earth as a human and not as a God. I hope that explains it.

God hates idols.....you very rightly said if they had survived they would be venerated by the Catholic church as relics.....so God ordained all that to disappear..even the bits of cross etc should be suspect
