My girlfriend just broke up with me. Im devistated, I really thought i could have loved her. Worst of all, the reason she started doubting our relationship was becasue her doctor switched her medication, which has made her go all loopy. She told me that she would still like to be friends, but I told her that it would just be too hard because I would want more. I really think that if her body gets used to the new medication and her body chemistry returns to normal, then she will realize what a huge mistake she made. But should I be her friend in the mean time, or give her space? Better yet, should I just move on?

I'm 42 and been there, I'm a widow now however, the best answer to your question is: If it was meant to be it will happen either way. So, just enjoy life. Don't sweat it, what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. One question though, why go with someone who has mental or medical issues? Why not find someone that is your equal? Life is to short so have fun and dont sweat the small stuff. It's not as bad as it seems, she may have done you a favor. Be her friend from a far. Go on, there are pleanty of fish in the sea and you just need to put you feelers out there to find another.

Hey you, if a girl is using a medication problem as an excuse then forget about it. . . If you like her company then continue your friendship, having too many friends is never possible. But you can find someone a lot better and NOT loopy. Im sorry for the pain your goin through, i know its hard. But really, you deserve someone way better that wont ditch u on a meds prob....

youl be ok hun

Sorry this happened to you!!

If it were me, I'd talk to her about your concerns with the medication, and ask her bluntly if her emotional changes had anything to do with her decision to break up with you. If she says no, then by all means, move on. If she says yes, then you have to decide whether you want to stick it out and give her space as a friend, or whether to move on anyway.

Good luck!

Your girlfriend is goin' under medication. She might be havin' trouble with adjustin' with u or she might be depressed or migh be havin' some other trouble. Right now, you have to understand that she needs your support. She needs (right now) you to be her friend. So there is still time. Go and tell her that you are her friend. Who knows that she again becomes your girlfriend.
Note:A boyfriend-gilfriend relationhip starts with a friendship and lasts as a friendship.
All the best.

Why pine over some woman who doesn't want you? Why try and force someone to like your or fantasize they really do but dont know it? There are plenty of people in the world, move on and find one that DOES like you. You cant force love.

Give her some time to adjust to the medication, be friendly, but back off for a little bit and see if she changes her mind.

Dude be her friend while the meds and her body gets insync then maybe afterwards she may feel something for you again. I am assuming she broke up with you cause of the meds...it has to be the meds.

Sorry, but it sounds to me like she just lost interest.
New medication doesn't make a girl hate her boyfriend alone.

No need to make up excuses, just pick yourself up and move on.

"Could" have loved her? I think you answered your own question there. Stay friends with her, but find someone else for romance. If you weren't that committed, there's no reason she should be.
