i have a friend that was in a car accident about 3 weeks ago. now because he is illegal and has no drivers license, he got scared and left the scene of the crime.

A detective came over to my boyfriends house, because my boyfriend and him are friends, and wanted to arrest him, because they though that he was the one who did the crime, but it wasent him,

My friend is very scare, and he doesnt know what to do, because he doesnt want to get sent to mexico, or he doenst want to go to jail, but he wants to take full responsibility on anything that there is, what can he do?

He should just go to the police and confess. He will probably will be charged with a hit and run and underage driving but he most likely won't go to jail. He is worse off not confessing because then his sentence will be harsher.

Are you making this up? You cannot be serious. If all this is true, your friend should be scared. I'm glad he's scared; it's a good punishment, since probably nothing else will come of his actions.

Tell me this. What if it was you he hit? What if he took away your car, your transportation, the item you worked your butt off to buy and you continue to work your butt off paying for insurance, gas and repairs on? And that you need to get to work, to get your children to school/activities, and whatever we need our vehicles for? And what if you were hurt, and worse, what if your children were hurt?

And all that caused by someone who shouldn't even be in the U.S. in the first place, to say nothing of driving without a license or insurance, when you work your butt off to keep yours up?

When are you people going to wake up and get it?

I'll tell you this. If it was me he hit, he'd be lucky if all he got was fined and deported. I'd push the issue until he found himself in jail for a very long time.

YOU HAVE MANY AREAS TO TOUCH UPON.
1) HE WAS DRIVING ILLEGALLY.
2) HE LEFT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT.
3) HE HAS NO LICENSE TO DRIVE TO BEGIN WITH.
4) YOU AND YOUR FRIEND THOUGH BEING PROTECTIVE CAN BE CHARGED WITH AIDING AND ABETTING A CRIMINAL ACT.
5) HAVE YOUR FRIEND TURN HIMSELF IN INSTEAD OF BEING PULLED IN.
6) GET A LAWYER TO REPRESENT YOUR FRIEND.
7) BEING AN ILLEGAL I GATHER HE DOES NOT HAVE A VALID WORKERS ID OR GREEN CARD VISA?
8) IT WILL BE UP TO THE COURTS TO DEAL WITH THE ACCIDENT AND UP TO IMMIGRATION TO DEAL WITH DEPORTATION OR NOT?

well, if the guy is an illegal, why is he driving if he knows he can't be insured? Why is he in this country to begin with? He should turn himself in and get sent back to Mexico, period. There's already too many illegals as it is...this guy is screwing up doing hit and runs, and shouldn't be here.

own up to his responsability. If he's illegal to bad. Is he a man or a punk? If he's a man he'll do the right thing no matter what the consequences. That's what men do!

uhh this guys an idiot and dug a pretty deep hole..
sounds like the detectives are pretty close to solving the case. the best thing he could do at this point, in my opion, is turn himself in. atleast that will appear better then him getting brought in.
