Sit quietly while you are alone with your back reasonably straight. Breathe in deeply while counting to ten and then breathe out while counting to ten. Let the lungs empty as much as possible. It's not necessary to count out loud.

Keep this up for at least five minutes, go on for fifteen minutes if you can. Try that at least once a day, preferable while you are alone. It's better if it is as quiet as possible.

Go into a dark room. Play some soft quite music. Sit in a comfortable chair or recliner. Try to let all of your tension drain out. Clear your mind and relax as fully as you can.
