It is true that a Minister will not be such unless he is called.
Hebrews 5:4
And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
And you are wanting good if you desire to be a minister.
1 Timothy 3:1
This is a true saying, if a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
But God requires these to anyone who wants to be a minister.
1 Timothy 1:2-5
2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
3Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;
4One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
5(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Wow, what a great question. I hope and pray that you get knowable brothers and sisters in the faith to answer you.
My first question would be, do you fit the Biblical model of pastor? Are you the husband of but one wife? Are you not given to strong drink? Are you the master of your own house? (the spiritual head of your family?)
If the answer is yes, then I would say, DO IT! If God is behind your work then it will be supported. Your church will grow. If God is not behind it, then despite your best efforts you will fail.
Do not be discouraged. If God is behind this then all the doors will be opened for you. If not, they will be shut. Do not be discouraged. God has shut the door on us before, and I do not take it as an affront, but rather as a blessing.

you know when you have the arrogance and self delusion to assume that the alleged creator of everything has a personal mission just for you.
there are other ways to help people besides filling them with false hope.
