"I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me"
"Jesus wept" is a strong statement also.
He wept so he could strengthen us.

I John 3:16 and Rev 3:16 are the most motivating for me.

I also like the lesson of not casting the first stone, though many scholars agree that that was a scribal insertion from later years.

Luke 21:14-15 KJV
13And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

This is very powerful because I myself have witnessed this testimony in the person of our preacher Bro. Eli Soriano. He hadn't had 1 loss in a debate with any pastors he fought against.

I can't think of a specific phrase, but I've always found the parable of the prodigal son rather moving. After all of his foolish and wicked living, he comes home expecting to be treated like dirt. "But while he was a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Bing the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found'

I liked " And he shall wipe the tears from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall mourning and outcry be anymore, the former things shall pass away" The author of that sentence implied a lot of hope for the future.

There's so many.
Let's see. This one: "Love your enemies."

Matt
43 You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thy enemy. 44 But I say to you, Love your enemies: do good to them that hate you: and pray for them that persecute and calumniate you: 45 That you may be the children of your Father who is in heaven, who maketh his sun to rise upon the good, and bad, and raineth upon the just and the unjust. 46 For if you love them that love you, what reward shall you have? do not even the publicans this? 47 And if you salute your brethren only, what do you more? do not also the heathens this?

This is a tornado to me. Into this, all bad is dissembled, from this, great saints are made. With these words, a heart of stone would crack and become one of flesh.

John 15:6, Kjv reads: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

That verse moves me to fight Christianity with all my might in honor off all the great thinkers who died by being burnt at the stake because of it.

Nothing can compare to Jesus love for us when He said in Mat 11:28-30 "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden. For I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. for My yoke is easy and My load is light."
Amen God bless thanks for the reminder. How Jesus can sympethize with His people in their lives when they are in the lowest state of their lives.

When Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the light; he who follows me will have eternal life".
Whenever I'm feeling depressed, I think about that and feel much better.
