Look at the republicans. Yes.
Look at the christian ministers. Yes.
There was that republican guy who had sex with a man TWICE in the same night. "I'm not gay," he said. Dubyah thinks it's okay for the middle class and the poor to pay the taxes for the rich. You don't think he's worth only the presidential salary he gets, do you?

Yes because they put themselves at those high standards but do not always practice what they preach. You can't cheat yourself if you have no morals to cheat. Honestly thats kind of a stupid statement.

it was poorly written but in that case most cheaters are the accusers first.
My ex mother in law bought me a ring with my intinal on it I wore it for a year my ex all the sudden noticed it and stated who was my new boyfriend.? I said call you mom she bought this over a year ago for me you twit ! who you seeing ?

I would tend to accept that. The best liars are those who believe their own lies because they tell the most believable lies.

The human capacity for self deception and self justification is absolutely astounding. You can never overestimate it.

Normal: the higher your standards, the more difficult to keep them up. Especially for hypocrites, who have to show high standards if they want to come to power.

They are probably in complete denial. If you are a serial cheat, you don't have much self-respect; so you will choose to believe that you are the only one who's right.

I saw that, too. I read the explanation, but to me it did everything but actually "explain." I can't argue with the data. But I'd still like to know *why*?

I think I agree..it is like saying that law makers are the law breakers .....they seem decent, role models, virtuous,,but they actually the most wicked in actions,...they display transparency but actually that transparency is blurred and tinted......all hideous and camouflaged!!!
