Get 2 new RF cables and ONE splitter.

Attach the LONG cable to the center post and connect the 2 NEW cables to the TVs first, then attach it to the splitter...

You'll have split your signal in no time.....

And you will PAY LESS and have a better signal than if you BUTCHERED the Long cable and payed for the Crimper to install it....

"Oh, it's soooooo easy" they say. Then 2 hours later with 5 crumpled crimps sitting in your lap, and 6 inches of sheath pieces laying around you, you'll be looking for an expert to fix it....

And most of us laid down our crimpers years ago when cables became cheap......So keep that long cable in Pristine shape and just add cables.

to shorten a cable:

cut with a craft knife at the desired length.

about 1 and a half inches from the end that's just been cut strip the outer sheath (the plastic coating)-this will expose the earth braid-splay this open revealing the plastic inner core-remove this with the craft knife (gently) and this will reveal the inner information line.

replace cable plug as per instructions. (which should be a reversal of it's removal).

Well, there's always the real cable splitter. Just look for one at an electronics store or something. I dunno how to do it without buying one.
