Get over yourself, you're way too shallow, both of you, if you're average it means your neither under weight or over weight, but you already knew that didn't you? You're just making a fuss over nothing.

I think that your relationship is based on his view of his body and everyone else's. He's self-centered and shouldn't have even said what he did about you being thin or otherwise.

Women's bodies look different in different times of their lives. Does he want thin, like starving thin? Are you even built to be scrawny thin? Do you have long Thoroughbred muscles on long lean bones, or do you have a different type of body structure?

I'd dump this Adonis and find someone who just likes to be alive. It would be lots more fun. And for heaven's sake, don't worry yourself about whether a word or phrase describes you. If you feel good in your jeans, and can feel happy during the day, and are healthy, then smile and leave this guy with his magic mirror on the wall!

As a typical guy, I'm pretty sure your BF wasn't meaning to offend you at all. Most guys I know prefer average-weight girls to the boyishly skinny type, so saying that probably means he likes you just how you are. 5'3 & 119 is NOT fat. In fact, its probably ideal.

it doesn't matter if he called you average. it could have been worse and he could have called you fat. i am sure you would have been offended then. he obviously has a different opinion to you about your build. tell him how you feel about this. he may think this because he is around all dofferent people at the gym and sees people of all different sizes

Average is a great place to be in the terms of fat or thin. I would call this perfect, and him an A**hole!!!!!!

If he is so critical then he does not love YOU. He wants you to be someone else. Someone thinner and muscled. I would suggest that he has you as you are or not at all.
Happy New Year.
