Excellent. You are on the verge of understanding.

How can there be light without dark? How can we understand the depth of human love and goodness without evil and hatred?

It is nothing but the false ideals of a better tomorrow while in the midst of a depression. No matter how happy you may feel, there are still thousands of factors that are working to destroy that happiness. You may be happy about a promotion, but at home, your daughter spilled water all over your new laptop or your dog ran away. At the office, a massive power outage deleted all your documents and in the street, a passing car just splashed mud all over your new Italian loafers.

Happiness is just a word for optimists who don't wish to face the fact that we can never truly be content with our lives.

Therefore, it is not sorrow's reflection, but rather the one looking at itself in the mirror.

A monk being was being persued by a vicious tiger. He raced to the edge of the cliff, glanced back, and saw the growling tiger about to spring. The monk spotted a rope dangling over the edge of the cliff. He grabbed it and began shinning down the side of the cliff out of the clutches of the tiger. Whew! Narrow escape. He stared down and saw a huge quarry of jagged rocks five hundred feet below. He looked up and saw the tiger poised atop the cliff with bared claws. Just then, two mice began to nibble at the rope. What to do?

The monk saw a strawberry within arms length growing out of the face of the cliff side. He plucked it, ate it, and exclaimed, "Yum-yum; that's the best strawberry I've ever tasted in my entire life."

Happiness is an inner contentment or satisfaction. People seek happiness for themselves and sometimes become selfish. But seek for the happiness of others first and you'll be given the same too. And it would be sweeter if there's someone who seeks it for you, isn't it?

I think that's happy.....

Psalm 75:6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

(the cup of wrath)

Joy can be mixed with sorrow. My son grows, and I am proud and happy. But he grows away from me, so I am sad as well.
