Ashley,
It is a bad idea to drink even if it has been 12 hours since you took your meds. The combination of chemicals can have results you do not expect or want. It may make you feel more depressed tomorrow. It may make you feel sick - kind of poisoned.
If you really just plan to drink anyway....Be smart and find something with low alcohol content to drink. Nurse your one drink for a very long time and be sure to eat with it too. Drink lots of extra water and take airborne before bed again. Drinking to the point of being BUZZED is really too much for where you are right now.
Why not consider just drinking a coke or something and try to have fun without the alcohol?
When the party season is over and the New Year is begun...do some things to help yourself with the things that cause you to need anti-depressants. Read some encouraging book or find a counselor to help work thorough your issues.....Be good to yourself and maybe by the end of this coming year you will no longer need medicine for depression. I hope you have a great New Year! All the Best, Ashley!!!

If you drink and take Anti Depressants it could react together and cause you to faint or worse so if your going to drink take it easy see how you feel as you go and be very careful as they don't advise anyone mixed Alcohol and any drugs i myself would not drink if you do don't take anymore Meds until at least tomorrow sometime.

You should wait 48 hours after taking any drugs before drinking any alcohol.. any good doctor would tell you such! If your depression is mild then common cinnamon will combat it cause cinnamon is an antidepressant and it's not a medicine.. its a herb!

I used to take anti depressants at a very low dose. You didn't specify how large your dose is...but I drank when I took them, and never had a problem. Larger doses with alcohol, I'm not sure about.

Anti depressants plain don't work if you drink. If you drink you may consider discussing this with your prescriber so that he can help you with your depression with other methods such as therapy.

I think you'll be fine since you take meds on a regular basis. You might feel a little different drunkness, who knows, everyone's body responds differently. For a person who just does that because they're just effed up, that **** will **** you uuuuuppp. woooo
