I think I may have been bit by something. I put my hand on the table and then I went and turned around. I felt something on my ring finger like a very small pinch. I saw something black and I think narrow on my finger, but I brushed it away quickly because I was scared so I don't even know if it was a bug. I washed the area with hydrogen peroxide. It looks like the area might be slightly discolored (possibly because I'm a hypochondriac). I can't really see anything else. Should I be worried? What else should I do?

Anytime you get bitten you should have some type of edema (red swelling, maybe some heat around the redness, and even some seeping), just keep an eye on it making sure no red lines starting running out from around the bite and up/down your arm (if that should happen go to the ER).

Unless you live in an area of dangerous insects like Australia or the American Southwest, etc, don't worry. Wash it out, clean it with peroxide and watch it.
