I have a mass on my thyroid that has been there for seven months. On the ultrasound scan it showed to measure 4.10x3.45x2.2cm. I would like to know if that is considered large?
I know that thyroid nodules are common but I am only 22 years old and I found this lump on my neck seven months ago. It has not gotten any smaller and we are now undergoing testing to see what is causing it. The intial blood tests show that my thyroid is functioning normally and we have ruled out any thyroid disfunction. No one has told me yet if the nodule is considered large. Any information would be helpful.

Yes, that's considered large. Small nodules are usually under 1 cm. But the fact that it's large doesn't necessarily mean anything. Have you had a biopsy yet? That's the way to tell if the nodule is cancerous. It's mostly likely not, nodules are very common especially in women and they're usually harmless. 5-10% of the time they are cancerous. I was one of those unlucky few that had cancer (at at the age of 33), but the one good thing is that it's one of the easiest cancers to treat.

This is something to discuss with your doctor only, due to the possible seriousness of the problem. This isn't like discussing a common cold on here. I know your probably apprehensive about it but, please have patience and wait for your doctors answers.
