I'm in serious trouble...I'm from America but I am in India now for Christmas break. I finished all of my college applications except for one. I wrote the essay required yesterday in Microsoft Word 2003 and I saved it to "My Documents" but when I went to open it today it says "we have enountered an error file cannot be found or it is locked." I REALLY need this essay back...I have fallen very ill and I don't have it in me to re-write it. The deadline for the application is the 31st.

Try to use the recovery wizard in the microsoft tools directories. Any back up you may have (and should have) can be put to good use,.
