I have wireless Internet connection, but do I need to buy a special network adapter?

To my knowledge - there is no especial wi-fa adapter for PS2.

they always say that stuff to people buying new systems, they just want you the pay the extra 10 bucks no matter what system you buy.

I wil say that on several occasions while cranking up the HDD for the first time today I thought it was possibly busted. I install my new HDD in my first gen PS2, started up and it saw the HDD, my ethernet was connected and the FF and POL icons were there in the browser and seemed like it was all ready for me to start up and go.

...but as it turned out it kept going from the browser....back to the browser! I had to reinstall the POL software before I could get online and register before I could get on FF11.

In the end though the solution was simple I just didnt want to open my nice sealed FF11! :P

I'm not some dumbass, little newb. I know when someone is trying to take advantage of me and when they're not. I'm worried because Sony is really bad at making 1st model hardware, or at least that's what happened with the PS2.
