Just wondering if they have similar features and sound and just differ by marketing.

the differences arent too vast. however there are certain sound qualities and a few feature qualities that may be had. for instance you cant get thx on a $1000 sony but you can with a onkyo or yamaha. theres an advantage right there. denon will have the best sound stage of the group. sony will probably have the most features for the money but not the build quality. isn't marketing a wonderful thing.

Hi. They would differ in sound quality,but for video performance they should be similar.If sound quality is important to you the only way is to listen to them with one of your favourite CDs in stereo mode to pick the one that appeals to your ears. You could go by the recommendation of a poster,but what he likes might not be your "cup of tea"
