An interesting question, Bill, but let me think outside the box, as usual. I believe that my God is your God, in other words, that there is one God uniting us all.
I have never subscribed to cultural or religious/spiritual separatism and the hierarchical thinking that goes along with separatism. I'm sorry we live in a world, represented by that Y/A warzone we call R&S, where certain individuals feel free to put other people down because they see God or worship God differently.
If we are all created in the image of God, then God must be a shapeshifter. lol. In any case, God is too big to be put in one tiny little, narrow-minded box. I say, "Viva la difference." I love all the different ways people worship God and find great solace and joy in all the wisdom given us by all the religions of the world that teach love, peace, creativity, compassion, liberation, joy, tolerance, acceptance, connectedness, and community.
To reiterate then: My God is not so much better than everyone else's God. In my view, my God is everyone else's God, God is Love, and we are all one.
( I probably just upset a bunch of religious conservatives or fundamentalists here. This is not my intention. This is simply my belief.)

There is only one God! Some call him Jehovah, others may call him Mohammed, but he is one in the same. It does not matter by what name they call him.
He is better than Idol worshipers for all they are is tin gods and nothing else.
Satanists worship the evil one, and we all know how God is better for he is far more powerful.
Nuff said!
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

In the end we will all be dust just like every dumb @$$ out here. there are very few who get that. it does not matter that your god is bigger or better. no body gets that. IN THE END WE ARE ALL JUST DUST IN THE WIND. and yes I hate quoting a very old song but it is true! lots of love and I hope this next year sucks just as much as the last.

Hey Bill,
I guess it has something to do with simply loving your own. I wouldn't have chosen the god I believe in now if I didn't think he was the best... or he was the real one. But I respect other people's beliefs. Sure I may think my God is the one, but I don't need to rub it in.

I don't believe that any of the Gods I honor are better than other people's Gods.
However, the Gods I honor don't threaten people with hell or other manipulative baloney like that. And this is one of the many reasons I honor them.

My feeling is that we all have the same God; just call him by different names. We can all agree to disagree on our perceptions, but at the end of the day it does not really matter. I therefore would not endorse or criticise anyone's God. Surely, it is what is in our hearts that matter.

Actually I believe my God IS everyone elses God. Some just choose to reject him.
But he is the best because he is the only God who calls and seeks out his people.

Because He loves honesty, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, sharing, and justice for all. He hates murder, lies, unrighteousness, all manner of sin. None of the other gods do all of this. That is why my God of the Holy Bible is the only real and true God that there is.

because you think it is;
You are religious because your parents were. your parents were because their parents were and their parents were because their parents were etc.
Now have someone whos whole 'parent-line' believe in one god and have some randoms say otherwise and challenge your whole ancestory belief would naturally trigger a reaction.
God doesnt exist. Man made god and people still believe because their parents were told that way and they told yout what their parents told them.... etc
