AP English? Wow- I agree it is way too easy for AP English! There are other choices that actually make you analyze and challenge the book's characters, plot, theme, bias, point of view, write volumes of essays about, etc. Not that I don't personally love all the HP books myself, but I wouldn't assign it as an AP required reading. In fact, I highly doubt the College Board added any of the HP books on their prescribed AP course list of required literature. I'm betting it was an individual teacher's choice.
