The art of Medicine is the practice of balancing the good that medications offer against the bad that they can cause. When I am writing a prescription, I keep that in mind, and tell the patient of the most common side-effects.
All medicines are poisons and should be treated as such.

All medicine is bad in some way. Most medications are processed by the liver and kidneys, the more medication you take the greater your chance of having liver and kidney failure in the long run. Many have side effects that are worse than the symptoms you are taking the pills for in the first place!

Most medications also have side effects even if it is only a minority of people who experience them. In general the good a medication does has to out weigh any negative effects you may have, otherwise why bother with it?
And as for another comment that antibiotics kill good cells that might be needed to fight cancer....antibiotics target bacteria, which are not useful in fighting caner.

Yes in some medicines like antibiotics they kill the good and the bad cells. Though it may relieve you then it can kill you later. Your body might later on need those cells to fight off cancer of some sort. My best advise if adult take an iron peal, vitamin, calcium, stuff that is healthy every day but only one daily. Don't over dose cause you can on vitamins.
