They believe in the extermination of God? or belief in no God? From many questions and answers here I don't know what to believe about atheists. Maybe not "atheist", but A-Theist in need of some soul searching?

Nemesis: That's your ignorance talking. Typical of most atheists. It doesn't mak sense to you because maybe you don't speak Latin?

What I meant is that most atheists here just bash, insult and make a mockery of God..even when they don't believe, some still try to disprove God and it makes you wonder....

I think partly true. There are very few actual atheists in the world. I think there are more skeptics, heretics, agnostics, and heathens than there are actual atheists.
My theory is that once you hear about God, or someone tells you about Him, then you will always always have that knowledge in you somewhere, to call upon when you have the most need of it. I think it's even perhaps a "soul" defense mechanism. Mind you, there have been many who have denounced God upon their deathbeds. So I could be wrong.

I don't have a belief in no god. I simply lack god belief. For me to want to exterminate god would mean that I believe there is a god to exterminate, which would make me a theist, not an atheist.
I want to rid the world of theism, not by a war of force, but a war of ideas.
Response to details:
We can mock fictional characters, doesn't make them exist.
I am not out to disprove god, just to show that every argument ever advanced for one's existence is invalid.

i dont think so. my "soul searching" brought me to where i am today, a very content atheist. i cant pretend to speak for everybody that doesnt believe in the christian God, but i simply have my own set of beliefs that i hold to be true, and they just happen to not include the idea of a supreme being.
but if you want to believe in your God, thats fine with me. i mean, if i told you that everything you believe in is a lie and that if you dont follow my beliefs then youre an infidel who deserves to die, what kind of person would i be?

Atheists are just people searching for answers, like we
christians are. My father was an atheist, and a kind and generous person to his friends, and he lived to be almost 96 when he accepted Jesus. I am so sick of us, as Christians, putting down anyone of God's creation. He made every one of us, to serve a purpose in their lives. We are supposed to love people, the same way Jesus loved the whole world. I didn't get saved till I was 48 years old, and I was with my father till the end. Instead of putting them down, why don't you show them the love of Jesus, who accepted everyone, and talked about love and forgiveness? Maybe, if they saw the love of God in Christians they would want to know more about it, instead of being condemned. That's what Jesus did. Sorry, sick of self righteous Christians. God Bless.

My, but you really are confused!
I do not believe in god(s). It really is that simple. The absence of belief in a god. Do you have the intellect to get that?
Not, believe in "no god", or exterminate a god in which I don't believe, or needing to "search my soul".
Those are simplistic semantics that you use to cope with that with which you are unable or unwilling to face.

NO, the non-believers in god
If a god[s] exists, and "if" the Biblical version of God is the correct one, then we would have to become God-killers just out of self preservation.

Nope. Atheists don't believe in God. There never *has* been a God. People made up stories about him, and told everyone, us included, and we just don't believe them.

Atheists don't believe in any deities.
Anti-theists want to rid the world of religion.

Well, Atheists just believe that there is no God.
There's no God, there never was and never will be.
That's about it.
