Typically you take an online sitcom or dramatic television writing course that last about 8-10 weeks. You develop a sample script during this time, but realistically it is unlikely that you can develop a good tv script in that amount of time on your own.

So at the end of the course, whic might cost $400 or so, you have the opportunity to sign up with your instructor to continue working on the script. This will cost you even more money, but there is no real alternative. If you have talent, then eventually you will bang out a sample script and your instructor will help you get it circulated and that may lead to an offer to join a writing team.

That's the way it works unless you have an inside connection. You have to have real writing ability, and you have to be willing to kiss your instructor's ***, some more than others, to develop a spec script that you can mail out to various writing staffs.

Take despite super theory you have... now dumb it down so as that 8th grade dropouts will know it without attempt. Now take out all of the exciting yet complicated plot twists, and make all the characters one hundred% predictable by employing absolutely everyone with an mind above a Jack Russell terrier. Now take your 60 min tale, and decrease it in a million/2 (do no longer concern in case you would be able to desire to throw out the good areas) so which you will fill in the time with mindless commericals that we will all pass over with Tivo. There! you're executed!
