I'm a Sophmore in Highschool. I've been thinking of a carreer when I graduate lately. Nurse in the Navy sounds like a great job for me. I'm currently in the NJROTC program in my school. I would like some help/advice from people that are in it, or on the way to become a Navy Nurse and travel the World.

I would encourage you to consider a career as an Air Force nurse but failing that....:-)
Look at Navy ROTC....they will pay the better part of your tuition, plus a stipend plus book money. And when you graduate, you get commissioned and come in as an O1 plus you have your BSN.
If you go to school and then graduate, you have to compete against other nurses who want to come in to the Navy.....I'm not sure what the Navy quota is like...the AF nursing recruiter in my region maxed out his quota in April 07 for the entire year!
Have you mentioned this to your instructor? He should be able to help you with this and put you in touch with a Navy Nurse recruiter who can go into detail with you. If not, write back and I'll ask our guy who is Navy counterpart is.

You will have to attend a university or college which offers you a program leading to a bachelor's degree in nursing. That is the minimum educational requirement. Not a course granting you a certificate for licensure as a registered nurse.
Then you will have to contact someone in the Navy Recruiting Service's Officer Selection Office for your area of the country. That person can be contacted through your local Navy recruiter. If offered a commission in the Navy Nurse Corps by the President and you accept it, you will then attend an officer's orientation course at Newport Rhode Island, followed by your first assignment as an Ensign in the Navy Nurse Corps at some Naval Hospital or clinic.
