No. In part Israel has been blessed and have become a company of nations and a great nation, however and this is a big one, they have not returned to the hill country that Jacob took from the Amorites with his bow and his sword. That is yet future and I believe will not happen until Yahshua returns and reestablishes the united monarchy and the tribes will all return not just the people who were from the nation of Judah.
When Israel is mentioned in the scripture in prophecys they are refered to as Ephraim, Jacob, Israel, Mannasah. I find it odd that so many people who answered this question seem to have absolutly no knowledge of the History of Israel/Judah.
And as usual most of the answerers are clueless as to the history we find in the scriptures about the Nation of Israel and how it split and became two nations Israel and Judah who were often at war with each other. This maddens me because they love to answer these questions without any clue as to who the players really are.
Kingsdaughter - The Jewish people trace their line through their mother is a recent, at least as far as the broad spectrum of history goes, invention. The Hebrews/Israelites including the tribe of Judah were a patriarchal society. Even the fruitcakes who believe that Yashua was Josephs son do not call him Yahshua ben Mary but Yahshua ben Joseph. Now how does that show tracing your line through the mother?
Furthermore Josephs children never have been nor never will be Jewish because they are not from either the tribe of Judah nor the nation of Judah. You have just enough information to make yourself dangerous. I will grant you the point that they were children of a gentile mother but also remember they were raised in a gentile culture and most likely their father looked gentile. Remember his brothers didn't even recognise him. He didn't look like a hebrew he blended in with the Egyptian culture of the time. However you must remember that His decendents came out of Egypt along with the rest of the children of Israel and they were definatly hebrew boys. This makes the fact that the US and Great Briton who do not look hebrew neither culturally nor ethnically are most likely speaking broadly the tribes of Ephraim and Mannassah.
Yacob - I'm not sure what your problem is but until you start studying a little history and start tracing the migrations of the northern ten tribes I'd refrain from calling other people cultest who have.
The fact is many of them migrated out of Israel long before the Assyrians conquered the northern kingdom. They established colonies in Spain , Northern Africa (Carthage), and the British Isles. There is even evidence that along with the Phonecians they established mining colonies in the Americas. There was a tribe whose name was very simular to Manassah who had a completely differant culture and looked different from the other native american tribes. The Cheerokee nation also had customs which were differant and quite frankly hebraic in nature. They also became a vast nomad people in southern Russia and northern Turkey called the Scythians and in the east established the Parthian empire who was the only nation who was able to stand up to the might of Rome. I'd advice a study of these culture's and a study of where these cultures migrated from and where they migrated too before you jump to any conclusions because it doesn't fit your paradim.
One has to remember that the very next chapter is a prophecy of each of the tribes in the future and it doesn't take a brain surgen to read those prophecies and apply them to nations today.
Lone Ranger - Which correct responses where those?

Joseph's wife was a gentile who became a jewish believer. Thus both Ephraim and Manasseh were also gentile as the jewish blood line is passed down through the mother and not the father. So in this prophecy they represent all the gentile nations and people that were grafted in throught Jesus Christ. And we are adopted into Abrahams family. So yes this prophecy has been and is being fullfilled.

Heb 11:21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
Jacob saw, though his eyes were dim; the coming Messiah, the Angel as he mentioned in Gen 48
Ephraim and Manasseh are not USA and GB, as falsely taught by the cultic British-Israelism.

Israel is the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy and has always been there, waiting to happen, at the same time. As for the part of greatly increasing numbers, I think that has happened and is not necessary. The issue now is peace between Arabs and Jews and that's a political issue, requiring a sea change in the perceptions and demands of Palestinians.

No. It's not even a real prophecy. It is a fiction written possibly by Ezra after the Babylonian Exile and not anything spoken by Jacob.
