really painful in right hand by the way i am right handed especially hurts when i stretch my hand. Can hardly hold a can of pop in that handd =[ any ideasss??

Arthritis is also a possibility as well as a sister condition to carpal tunnel syndrome called cubital tunnel syndrome. The only way to know for sure what is going on is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.

Wow does this sound familiar.

First I had it in both hands, then prednisone got rid of it. After a few months it came back in my left elbow and left thumb joint.

My Rheumatologist has had very little success narrowing down what is wrong. He is guessing Osteoarthritis. Auto Immune disease is the main agreement so far.

The day after Christmas my left wrist and elbow were so painful I had them on Ice and heat the whole day while on Vicodin. The woke up the next morning and it was all gone.

I cannot lift or twist or push anything when it is bad . Now it is OK and not at all painful. I would give anything to get this solved also.

Good Luck. (mine is not carpal tunnel either)
