Sorry to split hairs with the previous answerer, but the OK Corral was/is in Tombstone, Arizona. Dodge (City), Kansas is where the real Wyatt Earp and the fictitious Matt Dillon held sway, and I think the saying is a fairly frequent quotation from the old radio Gunsmoke series, even before James Arness et al. brought it to TV. Matt would frequently order some undesirable to "get out of Dodge." I don't remember his ever saying"heck," but on 1950s radio, he certainly never said "hell"!

From the notorious reputation of Dodge City Kansas back in the day....you know...the whole "OK Corral" thing? Cowboys going crazy shooting up the town..."Wild Wild West"....
