If nothing is missing and you're not sure it wasn't you that left the windows open then I wouldn't worry about it.

You can but here's what else you will have to answer.
One "why did you park in the convenience store parking lot when you were not doing business with that outlet?" In some states it is illegal to use a parking lot to cross from one street to the other if you did not make a "business stop".
"Where were you for the several hours?" I'm sure the police need to know that. Did you get the license plate number of the car next to yours? Can you describe them better than "two Mexicans with long hair and many tattoos". You will be opening a Pandora's box. Let sleeping dogs lie.
I'd say you were up to no good to begin with. Be grateful your car was still there in one piece. Take it as a cheap lesson and move on. Next time you're up to no good, find a parking garage.
Did I hit a nerve?

Why if nothing is missing and you don't remember if you locked the car or not? You might not remember leaving the window opened either. If nothing is missing then a call to report it is going to be a waste of time.

I guess if nothing is missing don't worry
However if you don't know the people you may want to be careful like watch yourself in the next few weeks or so.
You could be a little spooked for nothing but maybe they were checking your car out for a little something so just keep watch.
So no cops unless you have evidence.
REMEMBER lock your doors next time and park where you are familiar.

You could but it would be useless. Unless anything is missing than there's really nothing the cops can do for..alls they would do is fill out a report and thats it! They won't do anything to the people u are accusing of doing this cause u have to proof that anyone even was in your car in the first place!

Don't waste the police's time if nothing was stolen. Never leave your car parked at or near a convenience store - it's not wise.
Live and learn - forget and keep your doors locked and windows rolled up tight and stop parking near those stores - they're havens for crime.

To what gain??? If nothing is missing and you can't be sure if you opened the window or even locked it. It doesn't excuse anyone if they did get in, but what do you have to gain? You'll lose a couple hours with the police and nothing will ever come out of it.

As long as nothing was stolen and your car is okay I don't think you should report it. If something happens again and something is stolen or your car goes missing... that's when you call the police (but that would be obvious). But the police can't really do anything unless they have true evidence... maybe your window was open and you didn't realize it?

And what will you say? That you don't recall opening the window but 2 people were in the car next to you? You need some kind of EVIDENCE, my friend.

No because you have no evidence and no loss. What are you going to say "maybe two people I can't identify who were parked next to me might have rolled down the window."?
And why are you leaving your car at a convenience store for several hours? Seems rude to me.

If nothing is missing I can't see what you would report? Check your car for damage and if there is anything, report it, but otherwise it seems like it might just be your mind playing tricks on you and you really did have the window down.
