Ok someone.
Jesus identified that helper and explained how it would assist his disciples. He told them: “These things, however, I did not tell you at first, because I was with you. But now I am going to him that sent me . . . It is for your benefit I am going away. For if I do not go away, the helper will by no means come to you; but if I do go my way, I will send him to you. . . . When that one arrives, the spirit of the truth, he will guide you into all the truth.”—John 16:4, 5, 7, 13.
Since Jesus was speaking to His disciples and they would get help from the " Comforter" how is it that Muslims think its Mohammad since the disciples had been dead long ago?

They are absolutely desperate to convince the world that Muhammad was prophesied in some way. It's funny that they will use the Bible, a book they say is corrupt, to very weakly find some proof of Muhammad. We know it's a joke. The "Comforter" will reside in us and will come in the name of Jesus. There is no way that refers to Muhammad, who denied Jesus and put himself above Jesus.

Does anyone actually believe God would leave us alone for over 600 years and then send such a poor excuse of a "prophet" to follow The Christ? It's unbelievable.

God Bless.

Simple he was a liar. See Mohammad realized his so called revelations were in direct conflict with the teaching of Jesus. So he had to say that Jesus prophesized his coming.

This is the same man who decided that God instructed Abraham to sacrifice Ishmael his illegitimate son, rather than Issac which was taught for thousands of years.

Hmm, a murdering, truce-breaking, child molesting comforter............wow, I am soooo comforted! I suppose the Nazis will be claiming that Hitler was the Messiah....oops! I think they already do....

The truth about Islam from a website I don't care too much for:

http://hope-of-israel.org/scourge1.html

Some more comfort that derived from this comforter....

And the real reward of Islam:

It is really a conundrum how some folks will claim anything to gain justification for their actions...........or is it an enigma?

Yes, Jesus himself clearly said that this was the Holy Spirit.

Muslims who say that this was referring to Mohammed are misinformed (at best) and self-serving deceivers (at worst). I believe that this is simply a concerted effort to give Islam credibility with Christians, when in reality it simply makes them look desperate and foolish.

the conforter is the holy spirit. of course muslims will try to make us believe it was muhammed, they always try to fit in muhammed to any description in the bible and they are always unsuccessful since nothing fits in to him only the ones that talk about false prophets:D

edit: its so funny that the ppl below me use citations from the bible to deceive themselves into believing it was muhammed(which it wasnt) and yet at the same time admit that Jesus was the son of God with the same citations and that the bible isnt corrupted:)

The Comforter is the Holy Spirit. I guess they believe that about Muhammad because they don't believe in the Holy Spirit.

Geesh, some comfort. Sorry, Mohammad isn't the one Jesus sent to me.

Because they have to try to fit in. The truth be known: They don't fit in.

Example:
They say that they believe in Jesus, but they do not believe a word he said.

Actually it doesn't make any difference to me that prophet Mohamed is written in the bible or not
Jesus (peace be upon him)said in the Quran that speaking to his people a bearer of good tidings is coming after me
if this was not recorded by the gospels that doesn't mean he didn't say it.

The verse:
And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.

Mohammed was born 600 A.D., So 600-0 (0 being after Jesus died) = 600. He came 600 years later. This whole question needs a re-do.
