a week in the fridge, and a year if it's frozen properly in a bag or plastic with a coating made for frozen foods.

The health department recommends keeping food for 7 days if kept at 41 F or 3 days if kept at 45 F. Hazardous food should not be stored above 45 F.
Meat will typically keep for about 3 months in the freezer. If kept in a deep freeze (0 F or below) it should keep several years.

Well, the "4 day rule" is what i've always been told. But i've kept it up to 7 days with no problem. stored air tight, in the bottom back (coldest) part of the fridge.
Yes, you can freeze cooked turkey, but the texture is just terrible when defrosted. I'd suggest if you have a lot left over, use it in a casserole type recipe that freezes well, like enchiladas. The texture won't be in issue with something like that.

3 days to a week in the fridge (it is safest to heat turkey up after 2 days...), wrap well and freeze for a couple of months. Defrost and reheat.

After 4 days it should be thrown out (or at least this is what I learned from a special on when food should be thrown out and how to keep it fresh).

You should eat it, freeze it, or dispose of it within seven days, maximum.
