Hypothetically speaking:
Say a woman is on the pill. Say she stops taking it, and does not inform her boyfriend. Say she becomes pregnant.
Yes or No: Is it fair to the boyfriend?

For those that think he should also have a part in the birth control; I admit, this isn't entirely hypothetical. The guy in question had no idea whatsoever that she was off the pill; she even went as far as to tell him she still was.

Iguana -- not me; a friend of mine. She says that she's keeping the baby, and that as far as she's concerned, he doesn't deserve a part in his / her life.

Okay I'm saying it: " a woman is on the pill. she stops taking it, and does not inform her boyfriend. she becomes pregnant." Now what?
It's not fair that she didn't tell him, but he has the responsibility to wear a condom if he chooses not to, then that's his problem.

I think that's terribly unfair to her boyfriend. Unfortunately things like this happen all the time. People who are desperate for love and affection go about trying to get it in the wrong way. I hate to say it but i know a lot of girls who have made a last ditch effort to keep their men around by becoming pregnant.
I'm a little confused as to why this girl would decide that her boyfriend, who she lied to about still taking the pill, is unfit to be around the child she tricked him into having though. That's strange.

Not fair to the boyfriend and not fair to the baby BUT anyone having sex, protected or not, should know that there is a chance for pregnancy. What if she had still been on the pill and became pregnant anyway?

Emmy, you need new friends sweetheart....lol.
And not, it's not fair. part of being mature and responsible enough to have sex is to know where the birth control issue stands with both of you. My philosophy is this: If you don't want kids, protect yourself. That means women on the pill and men with condoms. Period. that way, you can never say you didn't do your part.

UNFAIR.
Relationships are built on trust and communication. If she stopped taking the pill with the intent of getting pregnant she is irresponsible, extremely selfish and manipulative.
Literally speaking.

1. 2 week grounding with, no tv/computer/phone/allowance for a 13yo telling their mother to go get 'F*****> when asked to do chores. Fair. 2. 13yo tickle torturing 6yo sister to make her be my serservantr a day, got caught doing this and got a 1 week grounding (tv/computer/phone/allowance) 3. 2 month grounding with no (tv/computer/phone/allowance) for 13yo being caught making out with a 17yo guy. Fair.

Sounds to me like she is trying to force a guy into marrying her.
Also sounds to me like she will end up being a single mom.
Too bad that the child will suffer the most because of his mother's selfishness.

I just feel sad for this child who is coming into the world in such bad circumstances with an obviously immature mother.
