I took some Tylenol PM for a headache about 15 minutes ago. My work just called me a few minutes ago and asked if I wanted to pick up a third shift tonight as someone didn't show up. I told them I would call them back.

Is there any way to accelerate/combat the sleepy effects of Tylenol PM?

Stop at a drug store and pick up some Claritin - D There is a stimulant in it that might help you out. Some states you have to ask the pharmacist for it, but it is sold over the counter.

I don't think there's a way to accelerate the effects, but drinking coffee might help you stay awake.

Also, let them know you took the medication so they don't think there's anything wrong with you if you fall asleep while working.

I wouldn't operate any heavy machines or drive, you may have an accident.

Otherwise, you will just be very tired.
