If that was true all that means is that we are no more significant than a carnival ride that follows the same track over and over again.
Not to mention religion is pointless because its already known if if and where you are going before you are born. No need for religion to guide you down a path thats already predestined for you.

So what your saying is that God DOESN'T know the path your going to take.

If you are going to just quote scripture than save yourself the agony of carpel tunnel syndrome and just type "scripture" because I already know what you think then.

But you see... They are not your decisions if they have already been made!

If you are choosing what has already been planned out for you to choose then you have no choice!

Ok hun... 2nd times a charm....

God is omnicient. He knows everything.

There are no choices taken away from us. He just knows... just like you know what choices you made last week... He knows every thought you ever have before you have it.

That doesn't mean that you do not choose your own destiny. You as a human are trapped in time. That is not a limitation that God has.

I hope this helps this time.

God Bless you, and feel free to email me.

Like the last question of yours that I saw, Eyota, this really needs a small book to answer properly.
If you believe in a creator God, out there somewhere, separate from the universe, then this is a ferocious question which has defied some of the best brains in the world for centuries.
However, if you see God as the imminence from which all creation is constantly flowing into manifestation. If you consider The Eternal to be the canvas upon which the picture of creation is painted. And if you consider time simply to be a conjuring trick allowing us to observe change, while the reality is just one enormous NOW. Then the question can be seen to be a false one, based on false assumptions and inadequate premises.
D'you think?
Best I can do in a few sentences.

Have you ever watched the "Matrix" and its resolution of free will and predestination? That's not it. However, you are making an assumption that an omniscient God either lets his creation run helter-skelter while he chases after them with "Four Spiritual Laws" pamphlets, or as you've already suggested, runs a carnival ride, puppets on strings headed for either heaven or hell as he so chooses. Mwwahh ha ha. That's not it, either. False dichotomy.

Calvinism, if understood correctly, offers a view that you might not have considered to this point. If mankind is guilty and has been guilty since the fall of Adam, then we can make any decisions we like, and none of them will lead to God. This thinking results in God indeed chasing after man, but this chasing is now 100% effective, and not only is it effective, it was effective before the foundations of the world were laid. And free will becomes free agency only, giving us a God who saves by grace, not our selection of him after reading a pamphlet.

I disagree. He knows the world's condition as a whole. He isn't monitoring every human walking the Earth every second. If anyone says differently I can provide the scriptures to back up my response.

I know that you are not big on scriptures. ANYWAY

Genesis 18:20 - 21
20 And the LORD said, "The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave.
==> 21 "I will go down now, and see if they have done entirely according to its outcry, which has come to Me; and if not, I will know."

Genesis 3:9 - 11
9 Then the LORD God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?"
10 He said, "I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself."
11 And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?"

understanding what we can settle directly to do as quickly as we've unfastened will, would not replace a element. God is familiar with that, given all the information, no count if we can settle for Jesus as our Savior or no longer. I actual have worked EMS, ER's and the streets for 30 years and that i be responsive to for a reality, God does exist. I actual have achieved my activity, on computerized pilot, began IV's, gave affected person care, and all i can assert is a greater robust capacity grow to be directing my hands and innovations. make the hassle to sit down down and talk with a Preacher or non secular chief and get some sparkling solutions. you're able to desire to understand only 1 element, all protestant religions are in reality the comparable, they have a reasonably distinctive church doctrine. (ie some Baptize by skill of sprinkle, some immerse) once you look on the grandeur of the Universe, in basic terms a Loving God ought to place the variety of element at the same time. It grow to be no twist of fate, no massive bang.

You know what the real kicker is.. that means God planned for someone like Hitler to be in this world. That's a scary thought isn't it... and to take it a step farther.. (for those that would say you can't know good without evil) That means that Hitler was fulfilling Gods plan... and as such how could a righteous God send someone who was merely fulfilling his plan to Hell? Therefor Hitler must be in Heaven. So yeah.. there's no way he micro manages and therefor no way for him to say "this is how it's going to be" That is of course unless you believe Hitler IS in Heaven.

Wow.. what a thought. Too many holes in religion... that's partly why I'm a Deist.

Just because God know what you're going to do that does not mean you can't use your own free will. That's why He gives us His Word but we don't have to pay attention to it.

If He had left a roadmap or precise instructions as to what we were to do with us having no choice, that would mean no free will.

God Doesn't want Robots to relate to Him. God Is a Gentleman at all times. A Relationship that is forced is not a loving relationship.

First off, God is not limited to knowing only one future. He already knows and calculates every single possible future there is for you and me.
But even so, why do you say this limits our "free will"?
It is still your choice what decision you make isn't it?
Just because God already knows when you'll be wise or when you'll be stupid doesn't change the fact that He gives you the right which way you'll go?

Or is this just another excuse of yours to run from God and avoid the truth?

God does know what is going to happen, but that does not negate free will. God does give us choices- however, He does not make the choices for us. To me this is not that hard to understand. An all-knowing God still can allow us to make our own decisions, and I pray that every decision I make will be the one that He is pleased with.

We can't control everything that happens to us, some things are controlled by God or Fate or just Life, or whatever. But what we do with those things are up to us and that is what gives us our free will. For instance, a child can't control being abused, but it's up to them to either get help and later use their pain to help others or to let it eat away at them until they end up killing themselves or someone else. Or if you get dumped, you can either choose to waste your life feeling sorry for yourself and be alone or you could go out and find someone better. God/Fate/Life just give the stimuli for us to react to or the choices we have to decide between, but the rest is up to us. God/Fate/Life can only open the doors, but we have to go through them on our own.
