It depends on how close the dogs are, but probably.

Depends on how long they have been together. Are they litter mates? If they are fond of each other then the answer is YES. I had one get hit by a car and he had to be at the vet overnight. My other (buddy but not a litter mate) was traumatized. He just moped around the house and would not eat or drink. He would not let me out of his sight either. When the other came home from the vet he was so excited to see him he just sat with him all day and licked him head to toe. They become bonded just as we do.
I now have two more dogs that are brothers and they are only 5 months old. Already they would be lost without each other. My other two are still best friends, eat together, sleep together, play together. Usually there is a mourning time when one of them dies. I am told that some will mourn and move on and others are never quite the same.....like humans huh?
Good luck but if you can keep from it I would not suggest a seperation!

How long have they been together? Dogs can become depressed just like people. On one hand he could mourn and then move on. As Cesar Millian says dogs live in the moment they mourn and then move on with their lives. Not to mentioned that dogs in the wild sometimes will change packs. However you just don’t know if their bond is very deep. Look at the Skye Terrier Bobby after his owner died, Bobby spent the majority of the rest of his days at the cemetery where his owner was buried.

It could go either way, people and other creatures can die of a broken heart its happened.

Take for example my dog she's 14, but whenever we have gone on vacation she rarely eats anything and she has always been that way.

Dogs don't respond in human terms and have no emotional attachment since they live in the moment.
While we humans have attachments and feel a void when we are separated from someone, it is an emotional thing and canines don't have that trait.
There is the void that is felt when there is one missing, but we've had dogs before and when one would get killed or just die from old age, it bothered us more than it did the dog.
There was no difference in the dog, in fact. Whatever might have been different was us in the way we displayed emotion

it usually depends on how long they've been together.
so if you had them both for a while, then yes.if they
havent been together that long, then no they usually wont.
But they still could.bcuz separation anxiety if pretty common in dogs now.so basically what im saying is that if theyve been 2gether long theres about a 95% chance they will get sick from being separated.if not that long, then theres about a 50/50 chance.
hope i helped some.
ps.i left a link to read more about separation anxiety in dogs,
they mainly talk about the dog being separated from its owner(you) but separation anxiety will still effect your dog from being separated from anything its close to.

yes, you are taking a member of their pack out of the picture. if you cared about the dog you would GIVE it away to a good home, rather then looking to get some money for the poor animal. it might be better off with someone else if you view it as an asset, and something you can just get rid of when it becomes a burden to you. why did you get the pup in the first place if you dont want it now? do the responsible thing and give both of them a good home, or GIVE them BOTH away to someone who wants them and will give them a good home.

depends on the dog. some dogs will go through depression and stop eating.
There is no way of telling not knowing the dogs

Don't know if they will get sick but I'm sure they will notice the other is missing and may make then depressed in their own way. It may affect their eating, bathroom habits or their personality. I'm not 100% sure but I amd sure they will know something isn't right. They may walk around the yard or the house looking for the other one. Maybe a veterinarian can answer this for you.

Depends how old they are and how long they've been together.

If they've been togetherall their lives and are adults most likely will.

If they've been together all their lives and are pups they will probably be sad for a while, but then move on and get better.

If they've been together for a short while either a pup or an adult they will be fine.

If they were raised as puppies together and are now adults, there's a good likelihood they could go through separation anxiety

When we had two that grew up together they were always depressed when separated..like if one had to stay at the vet overnight. They were never apart more than one night though...so I can't say how long that lasts.
