I like the answers for the most part, they give me hope. Assuming the premise that there is one God even if we all call him by different names then I agree absolutely. The big bang theory may in fact hold some water but some one had to light the fuse to initiate it in the first place. I like to believe that it was the supreme being we all call by different names.

Yes,
I believe it is all the one god. god created everything. He created the playground and the children to play in it. I think that we are just children stumbling along. making mistakes and learning as we go. I think in the end there will be a place in heaven for everyone. I feel god loves us all equally. I think god forgives us for the mistakes we make and knows that if we really new to the full extent what we were doing we would not do them. I think that we learn through our mistakes how to be better people and come closer to god. I feel we will all go to the same place in the end.

It would be great if everyone believed that, but they don't. I find it hard to believe that you as a Muslim would refer to us as God's children when it specifically says in the quran that allah has no children. You should be a Christian and you should believe Jesus who is the only way to Our Heavenly Father. Muhammad denied that Terry. He went against Jesus' teachings. He did not love his enemies. He did not turn the other cheek. He had people killed for sin. He had a very worldly appreciation of money, women, lust, control and pride. He did not portray allah as a loving father to anyone, including Muslims.
God is Our Father because we are created by Him. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, because He was created OF Him.
God Bless.

I fully agree.
this has been my take on Religion my entire Adult life.
and for those who feel Jesus is the only way I have to say Jesus too was considered an outcast in his teachings by his own people so who are you to say This is the only Way, or My Way Is Right.
why has there been so much blood shed and tears? anger and hate?
Does God want you to have a cold heart to people in need just because they do not worship like you?
isn't it said Judge and be Judged?
there are many that say "i am saved"
and then they point and shake their heads in distaste at fellow man because they carry a different cross.
now who is really saved? the Judge or the Judged?

Certainly we are all God's children in the sense that He created us all. However those of His children who choose not to follow after His commands and accept the offer of redemption through His Son Jesus have chosen instead to become children of the devil.
Technically that means that I both agree and disagree. Hopefully you understand the why.
Hope that helps.

I completely agree--because that is the only way in which God makes any sense to me--for God to be the ultimate goal of all paths. I think the ability to sense God is inherent in humanity, whether we acknowledge the awareness of God or not, and for that to be the case, the only logical conclusion is that there must be one common power that all people can draw from, whatever they might call it.

I respectfully disagree, we are not all God's children.
"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. he who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother." (1 John 3:7-10)
The Holy Scriptures show that not all people are children of God.

Spiritually speaking, yes we are all GOD's Children. We were all created for HIS pleasure.
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
And all souls belong to HIM.
Eze 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
