Hi,
I am VERY familiar with this.
I break out in hives from many things.
I was getting them from certain condom brands/spermicides. (so, could it be that? perhaps....but, only if you are using that)
Birth control pills
When I get out of the shower---reaction to hot water.
When I am nervous.
When I am excited.
When exercising.
After a good....ummm, romp. (very monogamous, we both are, and due to our jobs, we had both been tested, so, no diseases).
I also have allergies and asthma.
So, what does this all mean---it is idiopathic uticaria or physical Cholinergic (triggered by heat, exercise, or emotional stress) hives.
She could take an antihistamine if it is BOTHERING her.....most likely, the blotches and hives will fade within a few minutes to hours. Just be watchful of any worsening of it, or any sudden shortness of breath, tightness in the chest, difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the face/lips/tongue as it is more serious then. YES, someone CAN be allergic to themselve, and rarely, they actually go into anaphalactic shock from it. I had a patient that had that. (I am a prehospital care providor).
She should go see her doctor, to make sure that it isn't one of a few rare other autoimmune disorders (they can usually run a blood test) and to counsel her on how to deal with this. She may even need to carry an epi-pen for if it gets severe. This does NOT mean your sex life is over.....just, that she MAY need to go on an antihistamine (if so, buy some ky) to help control her reactions. The fact that her lips have swollen up a few times makes me worried it will happen again and again.
Also, start brain storming TOGETHER---anything that could be setting her off---cologne, deodorant, detergent, shampoo, aftershave, ect, or if it may just be the idiopathic uticaria I mentioned.
Good luck to you both!!

My daughter gets hives after a shower or when she perspires, even after a hot meal. Coffee causes it too. This is a frustrating condition for anyone who has it. I hope your gf avoids all fragrances, except essential oils, and is very careful with choice of detergent for clothing and bedding. I and my daughters have to use unscented everything. I get migraines. The girls have skin responses to those chemicals.
Some people have allergic reactions to anything that causes a quick change in the pressure of the small capillaries. If this is the case, she could ask her doctor or try Traditional Chinese Medicine .

RE:
My gf gets strange hives/allergic reactions after sexual contact.?
They appear on her back and neck. She has allergies to certain things but this is weird even for her. She also gets a swollen upper lip once a month, however this time her swollen upper lip occured after sex as well. What is going on with her?

:(, that's really sad! You really couldn't tell off the computer without seeing it yourself. If she had an STD, then you would break out too if your not using protection. And she might be allergic to something, could be the latex, sperm aside, something you might of washed your body with?
Or it could be a weird reaction (she might get nervous)?
Never know until she goes to a doctor to see what's up?!
a little freaky though, but good luck OK!

Adrenaline can cause your capillaries (small veins) dilate which increases blood flow to the surface of the skin. It s benign. It s just a sign of getting really excited! I get it all the time during sex. Even masturbating. An allergic reaction should definitely be ruled out though just in case. If she gets hives while masturbating then it s just from the excitement and adrenaline.

if you were using protection it could be the latex in the condom. If not it could be something you had on you like an aftershave or something like that- maybe even the washing powder you use. Make sure she sees a doc for this if she hasnt already because it sounds like a very bad reaction to something and they will do some tests to rule out things it could be. Hope this helps and you find out what it is soon, good luck x

Sorry to offend you or her but you better get her checked out by a doctor.
Appears she's a breeder for something and you shouldn't be having contact with this specimen until it is thoroughly deemed safe for human contact.
Seriously. Take her to see a doctor. Probably the best favor you could do her. Keep Peter behind the zipper until further notice.

Sounds like a pressure induced hive. A way to test would be to trace a line on her back with the back of a spoon and see if it causes the hive. Push down a little while running the spoon across.

Bummer if she's allergic to you when you have sex... she is going to miss out on a whole lot of fun! Maybe it's more if "hives" from getting really excited than an allergic reaction? She should check with her Dr.
