We're getting married in August and having a very casual rehearsal dinner. What is typical attire for the bride and groom to be?

A nice skirt & top, a casual dress or a nice linen pants suit would be good. If you get a dress with spaghetti straps or if it's strapless, you may want to wear a small jacket that would match.

I am also planning a wedding. I think the answer depends on the style of the wedding. You pretty much get to pick what you wear. I think your best bet is a nice dress, not to fancy, and for him a shirt and nice pants, maybe a tie. My wedding planning book says that the attire to everything depends on the style of your wedding. I belive if it is casual then you could even wear just some nice slacks and a blouse and him just nice slacks and a nice shirt.

Groom khaki dockers with a white or cream shirt, bride, white or floral sun dress. Casual and August - just about anything goes. If you want your guests to feel relaxed, keep it simple.
I would not do my wedding colors simply to keep the Wow
on your special day.

just every day casual clothing, comfortable clothing, because you will have to be all dressed up the next day. So everyone (everyone meaning the bride, groom and guest) should where relaxing clothes.
