Hi Pink,

You don't have to remove the wheel at all if you have someone change the inner tube for you!

it wasnt dumb but it's pretty logical to think out- the bike has fork which means you can't just "slip on" the tube without removing the wheel. yeah, just as some guy said above- it's like asking how to remove your underwear without removing your pants.

evaluate the wheel on the two area of the swing-arm (horizontal tubing that the wheel is related to). be sure the wheel relies upon. as long as you haven't any longer broken something, which you will understand in case you probably did, the gearing is adjustable to make it shift comfortable. regularly whilst it would not shift comfortable with index shifting the cable is the two to tight relatively or to loose. you ought to be waiting to confirm if the gears are not up shifting properly or no remember if or no longer they do no longer look to be downshifting properly in case you watch it on an identical time as using it. If whilst going to a larger sprocket it would not prefer to circulate (downshifting) you would be able to desire to tighten the cable relatively. in lots of situations you're able to try this on the derailleur. there's a adjustment ideal the place the cable is going into the derailleur. If the motorbike would not up shift to a smaller sprocket you would be able to desire to relax on the cable. With listed shifting you would be able to desire to alter the cable so each click will drop it to the subsequent kit. it is not any longer that perplexing with somewhat trial and mistake and endurance. There are additionally spring loaded screws that artwork as end stops on the derailleur. those are so which you will regulate the derailleur from going to a approaches at the two the smallest or greatest sprocket. This prevents the chain from mountain climbing off the tip sprockets. you ought to no longer would desire to do something with those. yet now you recognize approximately them in the years yet to return. good success. you won't be able to ruin it in case you're taking a while.

Well, I guess you could get the tube out of the tire, cut it in half, remove the tube, then take the new tube, cut it in half and glue it back together... but I wouldn't recommend it.

This is actually how I attempted to replace my first tube when I was 8 years old... didn't work too well.

Somebody said that you can't remove your underwear without taking your trousers off. Well you can. I have seen it done. However, it is a lot quicker to just take your pants off. The same with the bike, since you still need to lift the squewer off of the fork to slip half the new tube underneath anyway.

Luck

First take the wheel of the fork, second deflate tube if needed third you NEED TO USE TIRE TOOLS OR IRONS to remove tire(A flat head screwdriver won't work), pull out tube and replace tube valve first and stuff it back into the tire. place tire back on rim use tire tools if necessary, put some air in the tire(Important check for "pinch flats") fill to max with a "Hand Pump" (100 to 130 psi Road Tires or 50 to 100 MT tires) and your done !

Yes in all cases unless you have a Cannondale Lefty "fork".

It is, however, pretty easy to repair a tube without removing a wheel from the bike.

once the wheel is off the frame, you can change the tube by only taking the tire half-off.
