I do not remember their names, but this quote came from one of the two gentlemen who stopped by Scrooge's office to collect for the poor.
What does it mean?
Both abundance and lack exist simultaneously in our lives, as parallel realities. It is always our conscious choice which secret garden we will tend...when we choose not to focus on what is missing from our lives but are grateful for the abundance that's present--love, health, family, friends, work, the joys of nature and personal pursuits that bring us pleasure--the wasteland of illusion falls away and we experience Heaven on earth.

I'd have to look it up to be sure but it sounds like the ghost of christmas present. It means to me that want is fet by many when those who do not have want rejoice in their abundance.Their abundance being unfair. Dickens often wrote of the struggle between the classes (poor and rich). In his life he went from the riches to extreme poverty where he had to work in a union workhouse, back again to riches. He never forgot the poverty or the cry of the working man.

It's Christmas, so "when Want is keenly felt" means that people want gifts and presents, "Abundance rejoices" means they have lots of gifts...?

I don't know, sorry.

Without getting up to look, I'm betting on the Ghost of Christmas Present. It means that Christmas is the time of year when those who have, rejoice in their blessings, and those who have not are most aware of their poverty.

One of the sprits said this i think,
there is a time to want and a time when you have enough.
When you have all you need why do you want anything else.
Be happy with what you have.

I’m not sure, but it sounds like, during Christmas time, all people think about is their wants, and receiving.
