I've been on cymbalta for 11 months and my Dr and I decided it's time to get off it. I'm on 60 mg and he told me to start taking it everyother day for the next few weeks and see him again then. I'm just wondering about anybody's experience with going off cymbalta and if it was difficult at all if done gradually? Thanks for sharing your experience.

I've found that small changes in Cymbalta can make a big difference sometimes. If 60 mg every other day is too much of a drop for you, remind your doctor that Cymbalta also comes in 30 and 20 mg capsules, so you can decrease taking 50, 40, 30, 20mg. You've been on the med for 11 months, so no need to rush the process. Take care.

I went off it with no reduction in the dose. I was fine, but that may not be the case for others. Follow your doc's instructions.
