No. Alcohol has to be absorbed into the bloodstream via digestion in order for you to become intoxicated. If a breathalyzer showed an unlawful blood alcohol reading it would be defective, and therefore you would demand to have your blood drawn so a more accurate analysis can be performed by a medical expert.

it records the content of alcohol in the air that is exhaled from your lungs. Beer in the mouth would not affect that much at all. So, you are safe to take the breathalyzer...but why would you take a mouthful and spit it out? Why would you try to make the breathalyzer think you were drunk? Some weird experiment?

No. You could probably drink a whole beer ( depending on your body size ) and still pass.
