why does my 42 inch plasma not look at good as my friends 42 inch lcd? Does it have something to do with the fact that my input is not in digital or is LCD just a better picture? Please give me some details.

As a professional who works with TV's, if I had more information I could probably give you a honest answer of whats going on. Generally, plasmas are better than LCD's are, but it also depends...a low end Plasma isn't going to be better then a high end LCD. So more details would be needed.

But like the other answers, make sure you have a High Def signal going to it cause that makes a big difference.

Your Plasma should actually show a much better picture than your friend's LCD, so the difference is indeed the input.

Analog TV looks terrible. Make sure you get digital signal and if possible HD.
