Yes. Sport is an activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. Sports commonly refer to activities where the physical capabilities of the competitor are the sole or primary determiner of the outcome (winning or losing), but the term is also used to include activities such as mind sports and motor sports where mental acuity or equipment quality are major factors.

You better believe it's a sport. Think of how many different muscles you are using in your body when you are out there fishing, especially when you are fighting with a 'big'one!! If you are like me, and you hike up into the mountains to the desolate lakes, you are getting a major work out hiking around all day!!
Fishing rocks!!!

If my husband were to answer the answer would be yes. He is an outdoors-man altogether. I believe it is a sport because there is competitive fishing like tournaments and stuff.

Hell yes it does. I love fishing.
There are fishing tournaments, so therefore it's a sport.
A lot of people use fishing as making a living and that's all they do, and are rich from doing it.
