If the cops show up they COULD be arrested for contributing to the dilequincy of minors. Depending on the officers and you, of course. If you say your parents had absolutely no idea of this then they wouldnt get into any trouble. But think about what your asking, is it really a good idea to have an underage drinking party and YOUR parents house? Ask yourself this before you think about your popularity, your parents will always be there, will your friends?

It depends where you live. Some cities/states will cite parents for holding a party with underage drinking.

Generally, adults who serve or supply alcohol to persons under the age of 21 can be held liable if any of those underage persons are killed or injured.

Adults also can be held responsible if teens who drink at their homes kill or injure another person. The laws vary from state to state, but parents who break these laws could be charged for medical bills and property damage and could be sued for emotional pain and suffering.

Your parents would be charged because they were home at the time of the party. They may not know what is exactly going on, but the court would say that they should be held responsible. Do your parents and yourself a favor and do not hold this party. Wait until you are of age and then be careful and drink responsibly, and have drivers that do not drink do the driving.

You're parents could possibly be arrested and put in jail, with a high amount for bail. I also heard of people getting a huge fine for it. The police are really up tight about underage drinking, I would suggest that if you're going to have a party and your parents will be home, don't be stupid and drink. Is it really worth getting your parents put in jail, and you possibly being put in a foster home? The choice is yours, but i suggest that you think this one through.

They can get arrested for contributing to the deliquency of a minor and providing alcohol to a minor which can end up with jail time. And if any of your friends have too much to drink and get into an accident on the way home then there's a whole other list - which can include manslaughter. Just don't do it!

i'm no longer an criminal expert, yet i'd wager that this comes under the heading of "Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor." i think of in maximum states this is a criminal and reformatory time must be available. Your mom would be clever to no longer enable underage human beings, somewhat ones that are no longer her little ones, to drink alcohol in her abode. additionally, whatever the age of the drinker, the host of a occasion could be held legally to blame if a customer drives abode under the effect of alcohol and reasons an accident via DWI or DUI.

They can be in big trouble, especially if they're at home during the party. The law wouldn't cut them much slack for pleading that they didn't know it was going on. For that matter, whoever supplied the alcohol would also be in trouble, even or especially if it's a guest who happens to be of drinking age.

If I'm right, they can be charged legally for supplying alcohol to a minor... for every person who is there who is underaged, whether they were drinking or not...

I will stand to be corrected if I am wrong but have heard of this happening before and am *fairly* sure the above is right.

I've always heard that the parents are responsible for any liabilities related to drinking. So, if one of your friends dies in a car accident after leaving your house (and drinking of course), your parents could be responsibile legally and monetarilly....aka they could go to jail and owe lots of money to the victim's familys.
