That is the point. He showed man as he really was.A no good sinner,thief, robber and murderer. Any good fairytale would make man out to be the "GoodGuy" but God doesn't lie.David murdered for sex and to save his reputation.Paul had people arrested and put to death.Abraham was a liar and adulterer....on and on. But what these guys had in common was the realized their faults and their dependency on God to straighten up their lives and grew(It took Jacob getting his hip knocked out of socket by the pre-incarnate Jesus to know this)to allow God to guide their lives. None of these guys were unpunished just read about David's family and the split in Abraham's etc.That is what God wants. He wants REAL MEN not a bunch of "namby pamby" smiling ,1/2 gay wimps.
I would have to say everyone of those guys ,with the exception of Jesus (being sinless) and Daniel as well as Joseph(Jacobs son) were a bunch of rough tough sinning guys who learned to reign in their "Spirit" for God.Like tamed wild horses,they were still strong and full of energy just under control.

God chooses who He wants, and who He doesn't want. Someone who is not a murderer is still a sinner. So the 'elect' are elected by God.

6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God imputes righteousness apart from works:
7 “ Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,
And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.”
( Romans 4 )

And by saying so, I just admitted that God does not have love for everyone, neither are all people God's children, as so many mistakenly believe.

Why try to make one sin greater than another? All people are sinners(have broken God's Laws). So all those chosen to be be prophets and kings were sinners....

with One exception. And so only He can be our eternal prophet, king and savior. The Bible is ALL about Him as the only exception.
